Minisemester i bergen

vi fick fyra härliga dagar tillsammans med Al, Mamie och Cathie i ett stort 3-våningshus med bubbelpool och gungstolar på verandorna.
Solen sken och det var varmt o skönt. Båttur på Lake Lure, trappklättring för några av oss upp till Chimney Rock, 488 trappsteg. Somliga tog hissen! Besökte Hendersonville, strosade i butikerna, vinprovning på vingården BurntShirt. Det är äppel- och kåltider i bergen så det handlade vi såklart. Strosade i Chimney Rock village, promenerade på Lake Lure Flower Bridge. På väg både till och från bergen stannade Ulla o jag i Dupont State Park där vi jagade rätt på alla vattenfall.

Nu är vi redo för avfärd mot Florida på fredag. Bilen är packad och parkerad utanför området eftersom dom håller på att asfaltera alla vägarna här och vi får inte köra inom området på flera dagar. Men vi har fått en ny fin garageuppfart.

We got four lovely days together with Al, Mamie and Cathie in a large 3-store house with hot tub and rocking chairs on the porches.
We had sunshine and warm weather the whole time. Boatride on Lake Lure, climbing the stairs to Chimney Rock for some of us, 488 steps. Some took the elevator! Visited Hendersonville, checking out the little shops, winetasting on the vineyard BurntShirt. It is apple and cabbage time in the mountins so we had to buy some of that of course. Ambled the Chimney Rock Village, walked the Lake Lure Flowerbridge. On our way both to and from the mountins Ulla and I stopped at Dupont State Forrest were we found all the waterfalls. Had lunch on Main street in Greenville on our way back home.
Now we are ready to leave for Florida on Friday.
Our bags are packed in the trunk and the car parked by the church since they are repaving our roads and we can't drive in the neighborhood. But we now have a nice new black driveway by the garage.
