we arrived in Split, Croatia, at 9 o'clock at night and were taken by bus to the cruise ship Aphrodita. The chef had kept dinner Warm for us and after that we went to bed. First stop on Sunday was on the island Brac, known for its limestone. Then we went on to Makarska, the main city on this riviera. The entertainment for the night was a trip up into the mountins to a typical Dalmation village were we had a wonderful dinner, lots of wine and great musical entertainment.
On board we get breakfast and lunch every day, local and very tasty. We leave the dock around 8 in the morning, stop an hour for swimming (or just sunbathing!) and then go on for an hour or two and ancor for the night in a little city. We are only 13 passengers, German and Brittish and us, so its easy to get to know everyone.
The weather the first wasn't that good but today we have sunshine and it's going o be like this and warmer the rest of the stay.
This evenings entertainment will be marinated anchovies hosted by the crew and then we will watch some religious procession that will take place in this city tonight.
There are several cruisingships that take the same route and the ships ancor outside one another every night. Tonight we got a ship full of youngsters outside our ship. They are very noisy and will have to pass through our ship to get ashore/onboard. Looking forward to a fun night!
